Sounds like your describing complementary angles (a pair of angles that add up to be 90 degrees) but not super sure based on that description you have there.
X would equal 60 degrees because the degree of the top left area is equal to the degree of the bottom right. So the equation would be x+20=80 so you would solve to get x=60
