So it's tricky since it says use a function, but all a function is is a "machine" where you put in something a get an output. In this case, the sides of the yard are all x, which means I can say x is 1, or 2, or 3, etc. All you have to do to make the function is show what the perimeter would be for each of those inputs. So as I very poorly showed in the picture, the perimeter would be 12x, so whatever the input is, you plug that x value in and you find your perimeter. So your function is P= 12x

Chenoa starts with $250 in her savings account. Each month she adds $15.
Digiron [165]

Chenoa starts with $250 in her saving account and each month she adds $15 in her saving account.

Therefore, we obtain a sequence as:

250, (250+15), (250+15+15),...

250, 265, 280,....

So, we get the first term (a_{1}) as 250.

Now , we can clearly observe that the first term is 250 and second term is obtained by adding 15 to the first term that is 265 and so on.

Similarly in an arithmetic progression, last term is a_{n} and its previous term is a_{n-1}.

Similarly, a_{n} will be obtained by adding 15 to its previous term a_{n-1}.

So, a_{n}=15+a_{n-1} and a_{1}=250.

Therefore, Option C is correct.
