Basing off piror knowlege and research it is the best estimated guess you can make before testing the prediction it is different then a hypothesis which is when yous state if this happens then this will happen that is basically a cause and effect prediction.

Please answer :( gravity question for science

The two forces acting on your body are the weight and the normal  force

Explanation:

As you sit on your chair in front of the computer, there are 2 forces acting on you:

  • The force of gravity, of magnitude mg (where m is your mass and g=9.8 m/s^2 is the acceleration of gravity), acting downward
  • The normal reaction exerted by the chair on your body, N, acting upward, and balancing your weight

We can apply Newton's second law to this situation; the law states that the net force acting on an object is equal to the product between the mass of the object and its acceleration:

\sum F = ma

where

\sum F is the net force

m is the mass

a is the acceleration

For your body sitting on the chair,

\sum F = N-mg

we also know that your body is at rest, so the acceleration is zero:

a=0

This means that the net force is zero, and therefore:

\sum F = 0 =N-mg\\\rightarrow N = mg

A krypton laser produces a cylindrical red laser beam 2.40 mm in diameter with 1.70 W of power. What is the light intensity 1.76
marta [7]

Answer:

I=3.75\times 10^5 W/m^2

Explanation:

Given that

Diameter of laser beam d= 2.4 mm

Radius of laser beam r= 1.2 mm

Power P =1.7 W

We know that intensity(I) of laser beam given as follows

I=\dfrac{P}{\pi r^2}

Now by putting the values

I=\dfrac{P}{\pi r^2}

I=\dfrac{1.7}{\pi \times 0.0012^2}

So

I=3.75\times 10^5 W/m^2

So the intensity at 1.76 m away from laser

I=3.75\times 10^5 W/m^2
