Answer:

d. hairpin

Explanation:

A double-stranded base-paired structure formed by folding a single strand of DNA or RNA back upon itself like a hairpin. Base pairs are the unit of nitrogenous bases which are joined together by hydrogen bonds. They synthesize the double helix model which contribute the folded structure of both RNA and DNA. Sugar and phosphate is the backbone of DNA. DNA has four nitrogenous bases named adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine.

If the child is very active, it is advisable for the child to wear a helmet to prevent head injuries.

2. Regular exercise: Exercises will help strengthen the muscles and decrease the chances of bleeding from injuries. A good exercise is swimming, because it helps exercise all the muscles without putting street on the joints.

3. Caring for teeth: It is advisable for the child to brush twice daily and floss regularly. This would reduce the chances of the child's gum to bleed.

Briefly explain how DNA profiling is used to identify individuals.
Ne4ueva [31]
A sample of DNA is taken from blood of saliva. PCR makes lots of copies, or amplifies the DNA. We then add restriction enzymes to cut the DNA at palindrome sequences. We then run the DNA through gel Elecrophoresis. Each person has unique short tandem repeats that cause a unique number of cuts by the restriction enzyme. These cuts are separated by size on gel electrophoresis, so no two people have the exact same pattern. We can compare individuals banding patterns to what is found at a crime scene, taken in previous samples, in a baby, and the sample that matches all the banding patterns will be the individual.

Polysaccharide structure can be varied by differences in ________.
Scilla [17]

Answer:

monomers of MONOSACCHARIDES

Explanation:

Polysaccharides are large molecules formed from chains of POLYMERS linked together by glyosidic bonds. MONOMERS are small sub units that formed polymers, they are therefore the building block of a polysaccharides. The monomers of polysaccharides are called monosaccharides (1 sugar molecule.) when two of these are joined together they formed disaccharides (two sugars.)

Polysaccharides are fromed by joining together condensation, (loss of water molecules,) of mutiple monosaccharides units and the reversal of this to add water molecules to sepate them to monosaccharies is sugar Hydrolysis.

Example of polysaccharides are starch, glycogen cellulose

Example of monosaccharides are glucose, galactose.

Disaccharides are common table sugar, sucrose, maltose, lactose
