A footpath 16 m 80 cm long should be paved with stones 60 cm long. How many stones are needed?

Answer:

28 stone bricks are necessary for this footpath.

Step-by-step explanation:

lets start by remembering that 1m has 100cm, therefore 1m = 100cm.

That being said we transform everything to centimeters since the stones are in centimeters.

16 m + 80 cm = 16 × (100 cm) + 80 cm

1600 + 80 = 1680 cm.

If every stone is 60 cm long, we need to divide our footpath length by the stone length to know how many stones are needed, therefore:

1680 cm / 60 cm = 28 bricks!!

I hope it helps :)

A set of four cards consists of two red cards and two black cards. The cards are shuffled thoroughly, and I am dealt two cards.
Delvig [45]
25% because if you have 4 cards which would equal 100% and you are dealt 2 you have a 25% chance of getting any of the 4. (25x4=100)
But, if you are talking about probability of color it would be 50% because if you have 2 red cards and the total deck is 4 cards, then that is already half of the deck. And if you have 2 black cards then that makes up the other half. but if you are talking individually like Red 1 and Red 2 and Black 1 and Black 2 separating them would create a 25% probability. So, x= 25% (infivudually) or 50% (by color)

Can you please help me.

6 = 4x + 9y

slove for y
kow [346]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

↔Start of with your 'solution section' to make sure you have the right things↔

↔Solution 1 ➡ 4(x) + 9(y) = 16

↔Solution 2 ➡ 6(x) - 9(y) = 8

-----------------------------------------------------------------

▪Looking for the value of the 'x'-intercept ⬇▪

◾4 (3) (y) / 2 + 4/ 3 + 9(y) = 16

◾15(y) = 32 / 3

◾ 45(y) = 32

▪x-intercept: 32

-----------------------------------------------------------------

◾Looking for value of the 'y'-intercept ◾

◾45(y) = 32

◾y-intercept : 45

◾x = 3(y)/2+4/3 which is translated to this, am i correct? ➡ (y) = 32/45

-----------------------------------------------------------------

↪ Now, we have finally found both of their intercept ⬇

↪x-intercept: 12

↪y-intercept: 5

↪Or you can even say the intercepts in other words. Here's what I am talking about if in case you don't know what I am saying

↪x-intercept: 32✅

↪y-intercept✅

A certain forest covers an area of 4600km. Suppose that each year this area decreases by 7.75%. What will the area be after 13 y
wolverine [178]

Answer:

1679.60\ km^2

Step-by-step explanation:

-We can use the exponential decay function to estimate the size after 13 years:

P_t=P_oe^{-rt}

Where:

P_t is the size after t years, t is the time, r is the rate of decay and P_o the original size.

#We substitute and calculate as:

P_t=P_oe^{-rt}\\\\=4600e^{-13\times 0.0775}\\\\=1679.60

Hence, the forest covers 1679.60\ km^2 after 13 years.
