Let, the numbers = x,(x+2),(x+4),(x+6)

x+x+2+x+4+x+6 = 100-4 = 96

4x+12=96

4x = 84

x = 84/4 = 21

Second largest number, (x+2) = 21+2 = 23

So, your answer is 23

Find the point(s) in which f(x)=e^5-2x and y=6 intercept
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

(1.6, 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

ln({e}^{5 - 2x}  = 6)

5 - 2x =  ln(6)

2x = 5 -  ln(6)

x =  \frac{5 -  ln(6) }{2}

y = 6

Which is a possible equation of a parabola that intersects the x-axis at points (-1,0) and (3,0)? Question 2 options: y=x2+3x−3
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Where a graph intersects the x-axis is where the solutions or zeros of the quadratic are found...where y = 0.

If the points of intersection are x = -1 and x = 3, then putting those into factors gives us (x + 1)(x - 3) = 0.  FOIL that out to get the quadratic.

x^2-3x+x-3 which simplifies to

x^2-2x-3=y

Looks like the third option there.

Find the total surface area of each of the following cylinders.
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

272\pi

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of Circle =

\pi   {r}^{2}  \\ r \:  =  \frac{8}{2} = 4 \\ \pi {4}^{2}   = 16\pi

Circumference =

\pi d \\ 8\pi

SA =

2(16\pi) + 30(8\pi) = 272\pi
