Answer:

Planarian is a member of the family Planariidae and is one of the flatworms present on the planet.

These planarian species have bilateral symmetry with a soft, leaf-shaped and ciliated body of 3 to 15 mm length and can grow up to 30 cm.

Its head is spade-shaped with two eyes which help him in running away from light and a brain made of ganglion cells. The mouth is present on the ventral (lower) side of the body towards the tail which is pointed.

Head and tail region of planaria show the difference as the head part contains eye-spots and is broad whereas tail part contains mouth near to it and is pointed.

guajiro [1.7K]
The ash trees are being cut when the show signs of infestation of the ash borer. Ash borer in particular the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a tiny bug but can really do a great damage to the tree. When the tree is infested with the ash borer, they lay their eggs in the bark of tree, when the eggs hatch the lavas would start eating on the inner tissues of the tree blocking the flow of nutrients and water in the tree that causes the tree’s to death. If the tree is infested they cut it down, burn and bury the wood to stop the spread of infestation. Ash trees are valued for its strength and elasticity that is often used to make baseball bats, bows, tool handles and other products that needs durable wood.

Which of the following statements best describes the role of adenylyl cyclase in the epinephrine signaling pathway?
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

It accelerates the production of a second messenger.

Explanation:

Adenylyl cyclase is an enzyme capable of converting ATP molecules into cyclic adenosine monophosphate AMP (cAMP). The cAMP molecule is considered to be a second messenger that transfers the hormonal signal (i.e., epinephrine) inside the cell. Subsequently, cAMP activates molecular signaling events by binding and thus activating cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA). Finally, this last protein (PKA) phosphorylates different proteins that control many diverse cellular processes.
