Answer:  The height of the triangle is:  " 3.5 cm " .
_______________________________________________________
<u>
Note</u>:
 The formula/equation for the area, "A" , of a triangle is:

           A = (1/2) * b * h  ;  or write as:  A = (b * h) / 2 ;
_________________________________________________
 in which:   "A = area of the triangle" ;
                  "b = base length" ;
                  "h = "[perpendicular] height" ;
_________________________________________________
     Given:  h = (b/2) ;
                  A = 12.25 cm²
{Note:  Let us assume that the given area was "12.25 cm² " .}.
_________________________________________________
 We are to find the height, "h" ;

The formula for the Area, "A", is:   A = (b * h) / 2 ;

Let us rearrange the formula ;
 to isolate the "h" (height) on one side of the equation;

→ Multiply EACH side of the equation by "2" ; to eliminate the "fraction" ;

2*A = [ (b * h) / 2 ] * 2 ;

   to get:   " 2A = b * h " ;

↔    " b * h = 2A " ;

Divide EACH SIDE of the equation by "b" ; to isolate "h" on one side of the equation:

        →  (b * h) / b  = (2A) / b ;

to get:

        →   h  =  2A / b ;

Since  "h = b/2" ; subtitute "b/2" for "h" ;

Plug in:  "12.25 cm² " for "A" ;

       →  b/2  =  2A/b ;   →  Note:  " 2A/b = [2* (12.25 cm²) ] / b " ;

Note:  " 2* (12.25 cm²) = 24.5 cm² ;

Rewrite as:

       →  b/2  =  (24.5 cm²) / b ;
_____________________________________
Cross-multiply:   b*b = (24.5 cm²) *2 ;

to get:   b² = 49 cm² ;

Take the "positive square root" of each side of the equation" ;
            to isolate "b" on one side of the equation ; & to solve for "b" ;

             →  +√(b²)  =  +√(49 cm²) ;

             →  b = 7 cm ;

Now, we want to solve for "h" (the height) :
_________________________________________________________
             →  h = b / 2 = 7 cm / 2 = 3.5 cm ;

A bag contains 15 cups of sugar if 3/4 of a cup is needed for each batch of cookies what's the greatest number of batches of coo
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

20 batches

Step-by-step explanation:

Cups of sugar in a bag = 15

Cups of sugar per batch of cookie = 3/4 cup

Cups of sugar per batch of cookie : batch of cookies = 3/4 : 1

what's the greatest number of batches of cookies that can be made with the bag of sugar

Let

x = batches of cookies made with a bag of sugar

Cups of sugar per batch of cookie : batch of cookies = 15 : x

Equate the ratios

3/4 : 1 = 15 : x

3/4 ÷ 1 = 15/x

3/4 × 1/1 = 15/x

3/4 = 15/x

Cross product

3 * x = 4 * 15

3x = 60

x = 60/3

x = 20

x = batches of cookies made with a bag of sugar = 20 batches

A wheel make 192 revolutions per minutes. how many revolutions does it make per second
valina [46]
\frac{192 revs}{min} *  \frac{1 min}{60 secs}

The minutes cancel out leaving you with:

\frac{192 revs}{60 secs} = 3.2 revs per second.

The wheel does 3.2 revolutions per second.

Evaluate
sineoko [7]

We conclude that the equation evaluated in t = 6 and u = 14 is equal to 412.

<h3>How to evaluate an expression?</h3>

Here we have an expression with two variables, t and u.

6t - 32u

And we want to evaluate it in t = 6 and u = 14.

This means that we need to replace the two variables in the equation by the given numbers, so we replace the "t" with a 6, and the "u" with a 14, doing that we get:

6*6 - 32*14

Now we can solve that:

6*6 - 32*14

36 - 448 =  412

We conclude that the equation evaluated in t = 6 and u = 14 is equal to 412.
