Answer:

The correct answer is statement D.

Explanation:

On the basis of the given passage, it can be said that acupuncture refers to a form of the ancient method, which provides relief from pain and stimulation and helps the individuals by preventing or obstructing the channels that according to the practitioners permits pain to travel all throughout the body.

There are many thoughts on how and why acupuncture functions. However, it is hypothesized that acupuncture may instigate the biochemical reactions within the body of a human being through stimulation of the nerves and is done by the administration of pressure or needles on some parts of the body. Thus, statement D can be considered as the correct one.

I think it is D. The National Institutes of Health found it effective in reducing pain and other symptoms, but it is not clear how it works.

Cell-cycle checkpoints are key transition stages that allow or prohibit the cell's progression to the next stage. What is happen
dangina [55]

Answer:

The correct answer is option A.

Explanation:

Cell cycle checkpoints are regulating mechanism that ensures the presence and viability of the cellular components essential for cell division.

There are three major checkpoints one G1 second at M phase and third is G2 checkpoint. M phase checkpoint ensures for chromosome spindle attachment. G1 checkpoint checks the nutrients, DNA damage and growth.

Thus, the correct answer is option A.

Describe the interactions of the nervous and muscular system
Svet_ta [14]

The human body comprises of more than 600 muscles differentiated in three classifications, and all are under the control of the nervous system. The activities like picking up a dropped pen or leaning over incorporate the combined effort of various muscle groups.

The alert mind relays this instruction to the central nervous system that conducts it in the form of electrical impulses. These are then mediated via the somatic segment of the peripheral nervous system to the nerves accountable for monitoring the essential muscles.

When the signals arrive, a chemical known as acetylcholine gets discharged from the nerve terminals, activating the membranes of muscle fibers and making them to contract. The receptors present in the muscles provide the brain with the instruction regarding the movement and position of the body, the brain monitors the contraction of skeletal muscles.

During which phase of the cell is a cells DNA copied
MakcuM [25]

Explanation:

Hi there!

Cell cycle has 2 phases (i.e M-phase and Inter-phase). Interphase is considered to be the longest phase. Interphase also has G1-phase, S-phase and G2-phase. In cell cycle while moving from M-phase it has two option either to go in G1-phase or G0 phase. It it goes to G0-phase it doesn't go under cell division but if it goes to G1-phase it starts to prepare materials required to replicate or copy DNA. After preparing all the material it goes in S-phase and copies DNA. It doesn't go to G2-phase until it copies DNA perfectly. Then it goes to G2-phase. In this phase it prepares material for replication of other cell organelles.

Therefore, DNA is copied in S-phase.

Hope it helps!
