Think of two ropes next to each other. Draw a picture if it helps. To find how much longer, start with the longer one and subtract the shorter length to get the difference, or “how much longer.”
To subtract fractions they have to be changed to the same denominator. First change 3 2/3 to a complex fraction; multiply the coefficient 3 times the denominator 3, then add the numerator. 3X3=9. 9+2=11 . 11 is now numerator, use same denominator. So you get 11/3. Then change denominator to 9. To do this you have to multiply by what? You would multiply by 3. Do the same to the numerator: 11 X 3=33. The fraction becomes 33/9. Now you can subtract. Now that both have the same denominator, you just subtract the numerators. 33-8=25. So, 33/9-8/9= 25/9

Olivia flips a two-sided counter and then spins a spinner with six equal-size sections labeled 1 through 6. One side of the coun
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

A 2 - sided counter ; (red, yellow)

A spinner (1,2,3,4,5,6)

Number of trials = 80

P(red and number > 3) :

P(red) = 1/2 ;

P(number >3) : numbers greater Than 3 = (4, 5, 6)

Hence, P(number <3) = 3 /6 = 1/2

Theoretical probability = 1/2 *1/2 = 1/4

Expected number of outcomes :

1/4 * number of trials

1/4 * 80 = 20

Experimental outcome :

Relative frequency = number of outcomes / number of trials

Relative frequency = 2/5

Hence,

2/5 = number of outcomes / 80

Cross multiply :

160 = number of outcomes * 5

Number of outcomes = 160 /5 = 32

Actual outcomes = 32

Difference between actual and expected :

32 - 20 = 12

x=96

all interior angles equal 180

Subtract exterior andgles by 180 to get interior angles because they are supplementary

180-134=46

180-130=50

Get the third angle inside the triangle

180-50-46=84

subtract by 180 to get x because they are supplementary

180-84=96

Therefore x =96

Solve the equation 6.8x + 9.3 = -9.4 + 3.4 (2-5x)
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

<h2>x = -0.5</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

6.8x + 9.3 = -9.4 + 3.4 (2-5x)\qquad\text{multiply both sides by 10}\\\\68x+93=-94+34(2-5x)\qquad\text{use distributive property}\\\\68x+93=-94+(34)(2)+(34)(-5x)\\\\68x+93=-94+68-170x\\\\68x+93=-26-170x\qquad\text{subtract 93 from both sides}\\\\68x=-119-170x\qquad\text{add 170x to both sides}\\\\238x=-119\qquad\text{divide both sides by 238}\\\\x=-\dfrac{119}{238}\\\\\boxed{x=-\dfrac{1}{2}}
