Answer: The function is M(t) = 40mg*0.992^t

Step-by-step explanation:

Half life refers to the time that a given quantity to reduce to half its initial value.

This is usually a exponential decay, so we want a function of the form:

M(t) = A*r^(*t)

Were t is time, in this case, t is the number of days

A is the initial value

r is the rate of decrease, we will find that for exponential decays r must be a number between 0 and 1. If r is closer to 0, we will have a fast exponential decay, if r is closer to 1 we will have a slower exponential decay.

We have that the initial mass is 40mg, this is at t = 0.

M(0) = A*r^(0) = A = 40mg

So now we have the value of A.

Now, we know that in t = 84, the mass of the substance will be half its initial value, so it will be:

A/2 = 40mg/2 = 20mg

this means that:

M(84) = 40mg*r^(84) = 20mg

r^(84) = 20mg/40mg = 1/2

r = \sqrt[84]{1/2} = 0.992

Then the equation is:

M(t) = 40mg*0.992^t

rounding to nearest 10 to any number follow these rules

1. if number ends 0 , 1 , 2 ,3 4 , 5 take number down to nearset multiple of 10

2. if number ends with above 5 take the upper number multiple of 10

so here

413 + 35.6 + 998.5 + 376 + 85.3

= 410 + 40 + 1000+ 380 + 90

= 1920

Answer:

(a) C = 0.29<em>t</em> + 2.50

(b) 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The variables are defined as follows:

<em>t</em> = the number of  toppings

<em>C</em> = total cost for ice cream

It is provided that:

  • An ice cream with no toppings is $2.50.
  • Every topping is priced at $0.29 each.

(a)

The algebraic equation to find the total cost for ice cream depending on the number of  toppings is:

C = 0.29<em>t</em> + 2.50

(b)

Compute the number of toppings Mr. Torrance can buy if  he wants to spend only $4.00 on it as follows:

C = 0.29<em>t</em> + 2.50

4.00 = 0.29<em>t</em> + 2.50

0.29<em>t</em> = 4.00 - 2.50

0.29<em>t</em> = 1.50

<em>t</em> = 5.1724

<em>t</em> ≈ 5

Thus, Mr. Torrance can buy 5 toppings.

yanalaym [24]

Answer:  15 packs per hour

======================================================

Work Shown:

y = change in number of packs sold

y = 57 - 12

y = 45 packs

x = change in time (in hours)

x = 3 hours

m = slope = rate of change

m = y/x

m = 45/3

m = 15

The store sold 15 packs per hour during the timespan of noon to 3:00 pm.

What is 2 - 1/8 as an improper fraction
defon

Answer: 15/8

Step-by-step explanation:

First we can do the subtraction:

2 - 1/8 = 1 7/8

Next we multiply 1 by 8 and add it to the 7,

1 x 8 +7 = 15, so therefore it’s 15/8, please give me a thanks and 5 stars along with brainliest!
