Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that temperature dropped 11 degree per hour

Rate of change of temperature with respect to one hour = -11

Let T be temp and t be time in hours.

Since rate of change is constant we have linear relation

T=-11t+C, where C is temperature when t =0

Given that

T(4) = -11(4)+C=90\\C =134\\

So original temperature = C =134

34) Slope = 800

Hence if h is the height and t is time in hour,

h=800t+C where C is the original height

h(6) = 800(6)+C =11600\\C = 6800

Original position = 6800 feet.

33.
134 degrees. You just multiply the change per hour (11) by the amount of hours (4) and add that to the temp after 4 hours (90) and 44+90=134.

34.
6,800 ft. above sea level. Pretty much same explanation as above.

Answer:

A. 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Pythagorean Theorem: a^2+ b^2=c^2

a = 12

b = 5

c = ?

12^2+5^2=c^2

144 + 25 = c^2

169 = c^2

c = sqrt(169)

c = 13

Considering High School level question, answer can be written as:

A system of 2 linear equations is [two] dimensional. It is a graph of [two] lines. The solutions can be [unique] solution if the graph intersects. [No] solution if the lines are parallel - meaning they have the same slope, or [Infinitely many] solutions if they are the same line.

Explanation:

when two lines are drawn on a two-dimensional plane then there are only three possible cases:

Case1: lines will intersect

In that case you will get a unique solution at the intersection point.

Case2: lines are parallel but don't touch each other

In that case there will be no point which lies on both lines so No solution.

Case3: lines are overlapping.

In that case all the points lies on both lines so infinitely many solutions.

Construct the triangle ABC using as coordinates of its vertices points A(−3, 0), B(4, 5), C(0, −4). Find the coordinates of inte
Mnenie [13.5K]

Plot all points on the coordinate plane and combine these points by lines to get triangle ABC (see attached picture for details).

Write the equation of side AB:

\dfrac{x-(-3)}{4-(-3)}=\dfrac{y-0}{5-0} ,\\ \\\dfrac{x+3}{7}=\dfrac{y}{5},\\ \\y=\dfrac{5}{7}x+\dfrac{15}{7}.

To find y-intercept you have to substitute x=0, then:

y=\dfrac{5}{7}\cdot 0+\dfrac{15}{7}=\dfrac{15}{7}=2\dfrac{1}{7}.

The point \left(0,2\dfrac{1}{7} \right) is the point where line AB intersects y-axis.
