The major causes of the greenhouse effect is excessive carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere. The greenhouse effect is a process that warms the Earth's surface. When the Sun's energy reaches the Earth's atmosphere, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by green house gases, such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, metahne, nitrous oxide, and ozone. The absorbed energy warms the atmosphere and the surface of the Earth.

Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is option d, that is, mimicry.

Explanation:

Mimicry in evolutionary biology refers to an evolved similarity between the organism and another organism of other species. The phenomenon may take place between the individuals of a similar species or between the individuals of distinct species. The main objective of mimicry is to safeguard the species from predators, resulting in an antipredator adaptation.

The evolution of mimicry takes place when the predator witnesses a similarity between the model and the mimic and as a consequence modifies its behavior in a manner, which offers a selective benefit to the mimic.

Iven the equation representing a nuclear reaction in which x represents a nuclide: which nuclide is represented by x?
kaheart [24]

The nuclide represented as X is thorium and this is an alpha decay where an alpha particle is removed off.

What is nuclide?

A kind of atom or nucleus which is represented by a specific number of protons and neutrons.

The equation given represents an alpha decay. In an alpha decay, an alpha particle is removed off.

The atomic number of the parent nuclide is more than the daughter nuclide by two units and the mass number of the parent is more than that of the daughter nuclide by four units.

Thus, the x is thorium.

The pattern of natural selection where BOTH of the extreme versions of a trait are more advantageous than the average, so a popu
evablogger [386]

Answer:

Stabilizing Variation.

Explanation:

This is the type of variation that occurs when genetic diversity decreases as the population of organism in a particular population based on a specific trait.

Organisms with varied or specific traits within the population are selected against by the selection pressure, with little chances of reproduction, while organisms in between, ( with least variation of this particular traits) which are within the narrow range, survive to reproduce. Thus, this gives rise to narrow population of these particular organisms,(stabilizing variation) which are therefore naturally selected.

Therefore, the variation of the organisms in this population is kept close to the centre of the same mean value.
