Compound Interest

A = P(1 + r)^(n)

A = Amount, r = rate per year = 3.9% = 3.9/100 = 0.039, n = year = 3

A = P(1 + r)^(n)

A = 11000(1 + 0.039)^(3)

A = 11000(1.039)^(3)      use calculator

A ≈ 12337.85

Compound Interest = A - P = 12337.85 - 11000 = 1337.85

So at the end of 3 years the Amount is ≈ £12 337.85 and the compound interest is ≈ £1 337.85

Hope this helps.

SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

1.) 0.54 ; 0.46

2.) 0.50 ; 0.40 ; 0.05 ; 0.85 ; 0.15

Step-by-step explanation:

A = feel guilty about wasting food ; P(A) = 0.39

B = feel guilty leaving lights on ; P(B) = 0.27

Probability of feeling guilty for doing both = 0.12

P(AnB) = 0.12

1a.) What is the probability that a randomly selected person will feel guilty for either wasting food or leaving lights on when not in a room or both (to 2 decimals)?

P(AuB) = P(A) + P(B) - P(AnB)

= 0.39 + 0.27 - 0.12

= 0.54

1b.) What is the probability that a randomly selected person will not feel guilty for either of these reasons (to 2 decimals)?

P(AuB)' = 1 - P(AuB)

P(AuB)' = 1 - 0.54

P(AuB)' = 0.46

2.)

n(ACC) = 10

n(SEC) = 8

n(total) = 20

n(ACC n SEC) = 1

a. What is the probability the ACC will have a team in the championship game (to 2 decimals)?

n(ACC) / n(Total) = 10 /20 = 0.50

b. What is the probability the SEC will have a team in the championship game (to 2 decimals)?

n(SEC) / n(Total) = 8/20 = 0.40

c. What is the probability the ACC and SEC will both have teams in the championship game (to 2 decimals)?

1 /20 = 0.05

d.)

P(AuB) = P(A) + P(B) - P(AnB)

= 0.50 + 0.40 - 0.05

= 0.85

e.)

P(AuB)' = 1 - P(AuB)

P(AuB)' = 1 - 0.85

= 0.15

24 POINTSSS for anyone who answers The of a square garden is 36x^2 -60+25 find the perimeter if x=3
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

The perimeter is 52

Step-by-step explanation:

The area is 36x^2 -60x+25

We set this equal to 0 to find the length and width

A= 36x^2 -60x+25

We notice that this is a perfect square trinomial

(a^2 -2ab-b^2) = (a-b)^2

let a = 6x  and b=5

A=(6x-5) (6x-5)

The length and width are the same since is it a square  (we know it is a square so they have to be equal)

The perimeter of a square is

P =4s

P =4 (6x-5)

Distribute the 4

  = 24x -20

Let x =3

P = 24(3) -20

  =72 -20

 = 52

The perimeter is 52
