A stimulus that catches an individuals attention is termed as "Neutral Stimulus".This type of stimulus does not invoke any type of response

Explanation:

There are three types of Stimulus:-

  1. Conditioned stimulus
  2. Unconditioned stimulus
  3. Neutral stimulus

For example, let's say you take you child to the hospital for immunization . Prior to the immunization, the doctor presses a buzzer to call his nursing staff for assistant  required for giving the vaccine. In this case, the sound of the buzzer is the neutral stimulus because it doesn't produce any response from the child.
