Uh. Sounds like...

4x = 13
X would be the amount of days in the week she has to do so. It's just confusing cause during the week so I'm assuming she's not spreading it across the week of 7 days, just the 4.

Answer:

(V - 13)/4 grapes

where V is the number of grapes bought.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Mae bought some grapes and used 13 of them. She split apart the remaining grapes into 4 equal parts to eat for snacks each day during the week. We may take each statement in parts. Beginning with Mae bought some grapes and used 13 of them, if the number of grapes she bought is V, then she would have left

= V - 13 grapes

If She split apart the remaining grapes into 4 equal parts to eat for snacks each day during the week it means that each day, she will eat

= (V - 13)/4 grapes

Answer: The height of the building is 50.75 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio between the height of the object and the casted shadow must be equal for all the objects, as the angle at which the source if light impacts them is the same.

For the person, we know that it is 5.8ft tall, and the shadow is 3.2ft long.

The ratio will be: 5.8ft/3.2ft = 1.8125

Now, if H is the height of the building, and the shadow that the building casts is 28ft, we must have:

H/28ft = 1.8125

Now we can solve this for H.

H = 1.8125*28ft = 50.75 ft

Then the height of the building is 50.75 feet.
