I am not exactly sure the answer that you are looking for, but I will guess on what you might be looking for. If the weight of an object is greater than the weight of the liquid it's being put into, the object will sink. Although, it isn't necessarily just based upon weight, it is more dependent on density to decide if it'll float or sink.

Answer:

It will sink

Explanation:

Hi, this is the result of the Archimedes principle, that states that t<u>he push force an object receives from the liquid it is submerged in, is proportional to the volume it displace.</u>

As can be seen in the figure, there are two opposite forces interacting, the weight of the object (P) and the push force (E).

  • If P is higher than E the object will sink
  • If P is lower than E the object will float
  • If they are equal the object will be in submerged in equilibrium.

In equations:

P=m*g where g is gravity

E=\rho_{liq}*V_{liq}*g

Also \rho_{liq}*V_{liq}=m_{liq}

So: \frac{P}{E}=\frac{m*g}{m_{liq}*g}

\frac{P}{E}=\frac{m}{m_{liq}}

If m is higher than m_liq, it means that P is higher than E and the object will sink.

What are the rectants of photosynthesis ?
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

Light energy, water and carbon dioxide

Explanation:

First, let’s look at the photosynthesis equation:

light energy + water + carbon dioxide —> glucose + oxygen

The reactants are what go in and are used to create the products.

In photosynthesis, light energy from the sun, water and carbon dioxide are used to make glucose and oxygen.

Therefore, the reactants are light energy, water, and carbon dioxide.

A jar is filled with water, and the lid is closed tightly. The jar is kept at constant temperature. What happens at the surface
Katarina [22]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The correct answer is A: Water molecules evaporate and condense at the same rate.

<h2>Why?</h2>

Evaporation is defined as the physical change from liquid to gas, and Condensation is the physical change from gas to liquid.

At any given temperature, these two processes occur at once, in a dynamic equilibrium.

When the lid is closed, evaporation occurs faster than condensation, and pressure increases. Then, when pressure reaches a critical value, condensation starts to occur faster than evaporation, until an equilibrium is reached, and the pressure of the water molecules in the gas phase is maximum for that temperature. The pressure at that point is called Vapor Pressure.
