A student decides to look at his finger under the compound light microscope. He is careful to position his finger on the stage, to turn up the light on the microscope, and to focus properly. What would you expect him to see?

Actually the image that he will see depends of the lens used during the experience. But normally with good light and properly focus it would be possible to see the finger prints like in the image.
