Michael just became a personal trainer and is finalizing his pricing plans. One plan is to charge $36 for the initial consultati

on and then $92 per session. Another plan is to charge $86 for the consultation and $42 per session. Michael realizes that the two plans have the same cost for a certain number of sessions. What is that cost? How many sessions is that?

The cost will be same for one session. The cost will be $128.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Initial consultation charges for Plan One = $36

Per session fee = $92

Let,

x be the number of sessions.

O(x) = 92x+36

Initial consultation charges for Plan Two = $86

Per session fee = $42

T(x) = 42x+86

For same cost;

O(x) = T(x)

92x+36=42x+86\\92x-42x=86-36\\50x=50

Dividing both sides by 50

\frac{50x}{50}=\frac{50}{50}\\x=1

Putting x=1 in T(x)

T(1)=42(1)+86\\T(1)=42+86\\T(1)=128\\

Putting x=1 in O(x)

O(x) = 92(1)+36\\O(x) = 92+36\\O(x) = 128

The cost will be same for one session. The cost will be $128.

Whcih choice best describes the group this shape belongs in, based on the kinds of sides and angles it has? Angela chose A as th
erik [133]

The shape in the figure has 6 sides

The choice that describes the group the shape belongs to is (a) parallel sides, acute angles

<h3>How to determine the group of the shape?</h3>

From the figure, we have the following highlights

  • The shape has 6 sides
  • The direct opposite sides are equal
  • The direct opposite sides are parallel
  • The measure of angles between adjacent sides are less than 90 degrees i.e. acute angles

The above highlight mean that:

The shape belongs to parallel sides, acute angles group of shapes

Hence, Angela's conclusion is correct

Solve the system.<br> 3x + 4y = 7<br> 2x-y=1<br> What does x and y equal
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

x=1 y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's use the elimination method.
3x+4y=7
2x-y = 1 (multiply both sides by 4)
8x-4y=4
3x+4y=7

(add both equations together)
11x=11
x=1
Plug x=1 into either of the equations
2(1) - y=1
2-y=1
2=1+y
y=1
