The cost of adult ticket is $7 and child ticket is $4.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

Price of one adult ticket = x

Price of one child ticket = y

According to given statement;

2x+7y=42    Eqn 1

3x+11y=65   Eqn 2

Multiplying Eqn 1 by 3

3(2x+7y=42)\\6x+21y=126\ \ \ Eqn\ 3

Multiplying Eqn 2 by 2

2(3x+11y=65)\\6x+22y=130\ \ \ Eqn\ 4

Subtracting Eqn 3 from Eqn 4

(6x+22y)-(6x+21y)=130-126\\6x+22y-6x-21y=4\\y=4

Putting y=4 in Eqn 1

2x+7(4)=42\\2x+28=42\\2x=42-28\\2x=14\\

Dividing both sides by 2

\frac{2x}{2}=\frac{14}{2}\\x=7

The cost of adult ticket is $7 and child ticket is $4.

Sara buys soil from a gardener to fill a planter.The gardener has 1.5 cubic feet of soil to sell for $6. Sara buys just enough s

The first thing you should do is calculate the volume of the prism.
 We have then:
 V = h * L ^ 2
 Where,
 L: side of the square base.
 h: height.
 Substituting we have:
 V = (0.5) * (1) ^ 2 = 0.5 feet ^ 3.
 Then, we can make the following rule of three:
 1.5 feet ^ 3 ---> 6
 0.5 feet ^ 3 ---> x
 Clearing x we have:
 x = (0.5 / 1.5) * (6) = 2 $
 Answer:
 it will cost Sara 2 $ to completely fill her planter with soil

Answer:

\displaystyle M =  ( 3,1 )

Step-by-step explanation:

we are given the endpoint i.e P and Q of a line segment

we want to figure out the Midpoint of the Line segment

in order to do so we can use Midpoint formula given by

\displaystyle M =  \bigg( \frac{ x_{1} +  x_{2}  }{2}  , \frac{ y_{1} +  y_{2}}{2}  \bigg)

so let

x_1=-2\\x_2=8\\y_1=-2\\y_2=4

substitute

\displaystyle M =  \bigg( \frac{  - 2 +  8}{2}  , \frac{  - 2 +  4}{2}  \bigg)

simplify addition:

\displaystyle M =  \bigg( \frac{  6}{2}  , \frac{  2}{2}  \bigg)

simplify division:

\displaystyle M =  ( 3,1 )

hence,

the Midpoint of the line segment is (3,1)
