A scale of 1:125000 means that for any length that is on the map, the real life length is 125000 times as long. This also means that for any length in real life, the length on the map is 1/125000 times as long.

So, a real life length of 10km will be represented by a map length of 10km/125000 = 0.00008km = 8cm

When you have to find the length of map to the actual distance, you will multiply. and if its the other way around as in finding the distance on the map, you will divide. in this case, we will be diving as it is asking the distance on the map.

a scale will always have the unit centimeter, so we will be converting 10km into centimeter.

10km = 1000000cm

1000000/125,000 = 8cm

trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

1) xₙ = n² - (n - 1)

2) 1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

1)    1 = 1² - (1-1)

3 = 2² - (2-1)

7 = 3² - (3-1)

13 = 4² - (4-1)

...........

xₙ = n² - (n - 1)

2) three consecutive terms of an exponential sequence: x, rx , r²x

x: 2nd term of linear sequence

rx: 6th term of linear sequence      rx = x + 4d

r²x: 7th term of linear sequence     r²x = rx + d     d = r²x - rx

rx = x + 4 * (r²x - rx) = x + 4r²x - 4rx

4xr² -5rx + x = 0

x(4r² -5r + 1) = 0

x (4r - 1) ( r - 1) = 0

x = 0 or r = 1/4 or r = 1

if either x = 0 or r = 1      d will be equals to "0" everything became 0

So the only reasonable answer is r = 1/4

D) | Is side-side-angle a congruence rule? Is angle-side-side<br> a congruence rule? Explain.
Pavel [41]

Answer:

Look at step-by-step explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Side-side-angle is not a congruence rule because a side cannot be in between an angle and a side. Angle-side-side is the same thing, a side cannot be in between an angle and a side.

Which function's graph has x-intercepts at x=−1 and x=3, and a vertex at point (1,−4)?
Luda [366]

Answer:

Top right option: g(x) = (x+1)(x-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

x=-1 is the solution to x+1=0

x=3 is the solution to x-3=0

Therefore, your expression so far is (x+1)(x-3) or x²-2x-3.

Since the vertex must be (1,-4) we must check if x=1 satisfies the equation x=-b/2a:

x=-b/2a

1=-(-2)/2(1)

1=2/2

1=1

Both sides are equal to each other, so the final function is g(x) = (x+1)(x-3)
