The first object because the more mass the hard it is to hold and the density it has which is the mass, the reason why one sunk and the other didn’t is because the higher the mass the faster the object would sink

A 6.50x10^-5 m solution of potassium permanganate has a percent transmittance of 27.3% when measured in a 1.15 cm cell at a wave
mihalych1998 [28]
For this problem, we use the Beer Lambert's Law. Its usual equation is:

A = ∈LC
where
A is the absorbance
∈ is the molar absorptivity
L is the path length
C is the concentration of the sample solution

As you notice, we only have to find the absorbance. But since we are not given with the molar absorptivity, we will have to use the modified equation that relates % transmittance to absorbance:

A = 2 - log(%T)
A = 2 - log(27.3)
A = 0.5638

This graduated cylinder has numbers representing milliliters. A student says that the volume of the liquid inside is 21.8 millil
GaryK [48]

Explanation:

The answer for this question depends on the type of meniscus in the cylinder. If it is an upright meniscus like in water, the reading should be taken at the bottom of the meniscus. However if it is an inverted meniscus like in mercury, the reading should be taken at the top of the meniscus.
