The answer is 10 because all the angles are equal making it a equilateral triangle.

Therefore, the sides are all equal to one another, 3x - 8 = 5x - 20.

You just solve for x and get 6. You then plug in 6 for x and evauluate the equation, getting 10.

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

This is an equilateral triangle ( because  all 3 angles have  the same measure)

So 3 all sides  are equal, therefore:-

5x - 20 = 3x - 8

2x = 12

x = 6

So DE =  3(6) - 8

= 10 units

A department store sold 62 shirts one day. All short-sleeved shirts cost $11.00 each and all long-sleeved shirts cost $17.00 eac
slava [35]

Answer:

a. Short-Sleeve = 35

b. Long-Sleeve = 27

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

Total shirts sold = 62

short sleeved cost = 11 each

Long sleeved cost = 17 each

Total receipts = 844

<em>Let the count of short sleeved be X  and Let the count of long sleeved be Y</em>

X + Y = 62 <em>(equation 1) from the total shirts sold</em>

11X + 17Y = 844 <em>(equation 2) from the total receipts</em>

<em>From equation 1</em>    X = 62 - Y <em>(Equation 3)</em>

<em>Substituting equation 3 into equation 2</em>

11(62 - Y) +17Y = 844

682 -11Y + 17Y = 844

-11Y + 17Y = 844-682

6Y = 162

Therefore Y = 27

<em>Substituting Y into equation 3</em>

X = 62 - Y

X = 62 - 27

X = 35

What is the pattern in the values as the exponents increase?
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

"Multiply the previous value by 2"

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's check the first 2 terms for all the answer choices.

1. Add \frac{1}{16} to the previous value:

\frac{1}{32}+\frac{1}{16}=\frac{3}{32}

Doesn't match.

2. Subtract \frac{1}{16} from the previous value:

\frac{1}{32}-\frac{1}{16}=-\frac{1}{32}

Doesn't match.

3. Divide the previous value by 2:

\frac{\frac{1}{32}}{2}\\=\frac{1}{32}*\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1}{64}

Doesn't match.

4. Multiply the previous value by 2:

\frac{1}{32}*2=\frac{2}{32}=\frac{1}{16}

DOES WORK!

Also, doing the same thing with all the other values would give us matching answer. So this choice is right.

In triangle abc, a is a right angle, and ab = 16√3, and the measure of b=30 degrees. What is the length of ac.
salantis [7]

Answer:

the length of ac is 16.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

A is right angle, = 90⁰

B is 30⁰

ab = 16√3

              C

              ↓

               ↑

               A   →      ←  B

If this right angle triangle is considered, length bc is the hypotenuse and length ac is the opposite side of angle B.

The length of ac is calculated as follows;

tan \ B = \frac{opposite \ side}{adjacent \ side} \\\\tan \ B = \frac{ac}{ab} \\\\ac = ab \ \times \ tan \ B\\\\ac = 16\sqrt{3} \ \times \frac{\sqrt{3} }{3} \\\\ac = \frac{16 \sqrt{9} }{3} \\\\ac = \frac{16 \times 3}{3} \\\\ac = 16

Therefore, the length of ac is 16.
