Answer:

0.8 m/s

Explanation:

From Newton's third law of motion,

Impulse on a body = Change in momentum of the body

Ft = m(v-u) ......................... Equation 1

Where F = force on the body , t = time, m = mass of the body, v = final velocity, u = initial velocity,

Note: Taking the direction of the initial velocity as negative,

Given: F = 1.76×10⁴ N, t = 5.5×10⁻² s, m = 110 kg, u = -8.0 m/s

Substitute into equation 1

1.76×10⁴ ( 5.5×10⁻²) = 110[v-(-8.0)]

968 = 110v+880

110v = 968-880

110v = 88

v = 88/110

V = 0.8 m/s

Hence the final velocity = 0.8 m/s

A moss begins to grow on a rock in an area that was previously uninhabited by life. This is an example of a .
Kitty [74]

Answer: primary ecological succession

Explanation:

Primary ecological succession: This occurs when a certain or some organisms dominate an area that was uninhabited of life. This may happen after a natural disaster that leaves the land barren. The presence of these organisms on the barren land will help the soil occupied to gain nutrients which will eventually allow some other plants to grow on it. The growth of plants will later invite insects and insects may invite animals.

A ship's propeller of diameter 3 m makes 10.6 revolutions in 30s. What is the angular velocity of the propeller?
ycow [4]

Answer:

The angular velocity of the propeller is 2.22 rad/s.

Explanation:

The angular velocity (ω) of the propeller is:

\omega = \frac{\Delta \theta}{\Delta t}

Where:

θ: is the angular displacement = 10.6 revolutions

t: is the time = 30 s

\omega = \frac{\Delta \theta}{\Delta t} = \frac{10.6 rev*\frac{2\pi rad}{1 rev}}{30 s} = 2.22 rad/s

Therefore, the angular velocity of the propeller is 2.22 rad/s.

A pumpkin is thrown horizontally off of a building at a speed of 2.5 m/s and travels a horizontal distance of 12 m before hittin
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

-47.04

Explanation:

Divide 12 m by 2.5 m/s which equals 4.8s

And then use 4.8s to multiply it with -9.8

4.8(-9.8)= -47.04 m/s

Hope this helped!! :)
