The diameter is 10:

To do this we must use the distance formula:

Distance =√(x2−x1)^2+(y2−y1)^2

So, if we substitute in our values for the origin and endpoint (origin is 1 values, endpoint is 2)

D=✓(-4-0)^2+(-3-0)^2

Simplified, this is

D=✓16+9
D=✓25
D=5

so, the distance from the center of the crcle to the endpoint is 5 (making the radius)

multiply by two, and the diameter of the circle is 10 :)

Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

Suppose the heights of 18-year-old men are approximately normally distributed, with mean 71 inches and standard deviation 4 inches.

(a) What is the probability that an 18-year-old man selected at random is between 70 and 72 inches tall? (Round your answer to four decimal places.)

z1 = (70-71)/4 = -0.25

z2 = (72-71/4 = 0.25

P(70<X<72) = p(-0.25<z<0.25) = 0.1974

Answer: 0.1974

(b) If a random sample of thirteen 18-year-old men is selected, what is the probability that the mean height x is between 70 and 72 inches? (Round your answer to four decimal places.)

z1 = (70-71)/(4/sqrt(13)) = -0.9014

z2 = (72-71/(4/sqrt(13)) = 0.9014

P(70<X<72) = p(-0.9014<z<0.9014) = 0.6326

What is the equation
erastova [34]
Thats figure is made of 2 triangles and 1 rectangle
so we will find the area of triangles and rectangles then add them

Triangle Area=1/2*x/2*2=x/2

multiply by 2 as we have two triangles=2*x/2=x
Area of a rectangle=x*2=2x
Add them=x+2x=14(given area of trepaziod
3x=14

hope i am correct
