Answer: 15/64 or approx. 23.4% odds

Steps:

Let us count the number of possibilities of getting 4 heads of 6 flips - we do not care about the order within the group of heads so this count is the number of combinations of 4 out of 6, or {6\choose{4}}=\frac{6! }{4!2!}=15

The number of all possible outcomes of 6 coin flips is 2^6.

So the probability is the ratio P=\frac{15}{64}\approx 0.234

a swimming pool charges £3.60 for entry. you can save 1/3 of entry fee with a membership card. on his first visit, ken spends £5
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

You save ⅓ of entry fee, so you save 1.20 and you pay 2.40. We only really care about the 1.20 reduction. 5 / 1.2 = 4.16 so he must go 5 times to get the 5 back
