10x + 3y + 1,5 = 50,1 * (- 4) ⇒ -40x-12y-6 = -200,4
<span>8x + 12y + 1,5 = 51,9
combine
8x-40x+12y-12y+1.5-6=51.9-200.4  *(-1)</span>⇔
<span>32x+4.5=148.5
32x=148.5-4.5
x=</span><span>144/32
</span>x=4.5 (<span>textbook)
</span><span>10*4.5+3y+1.5=50.1
3y+46.5=50.1
3y=3.6
y=1.2 (</span><span>workbook)</span>

A pitcher of punch holds 2 gallons if 9 people share the entire pitcher how much do that get a peice
kirza4 [7]
To find how much each person will get, you have to divide the amount available by the people. There are 2 ways I believe we can do this.
First way
Let's divide.
2÷9= 2/9

Each person would get 2/9 of a gallon if they shared it.

≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
Second way
I believe it would be easier to convert this into cups. There are 16 cups per gallon.
16×2= 32
Let's divide that by 9.
32÷9= 3 5/9 cups per person.
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
Each person would receive 2/9 of a gallon.
