It became apparent to Watson and Crick after completion of their model that the DNA molecule could carry a vast amount of heredi

tary information in its In an analysis of the nucleotide composition of DNA. which of the following is true?
A) The strands that make up DNA are antiparallel.
B) This means that the nature of DNA creates nonparallcl strands the 5' to 3' direction of one strand C) nuts counter to the 5* to 3' direction of the other strand.

Explanation:

Watson & Crick discovered that DNA is composed of two (2) strands of DNA running antiparallel to each other. One strand is oriented in the 5’ -> 3’ direction while the other is oriented in the 3’ -> 5’ direction. The nitrogenous bases of the strands are found in between the two-strand backbones and they form hydrogen bonding with each other. Specifically, pyrimidines (Cytosine and Thymine) pair with purine (Adenine and Guanine).

The space between the strands is even throughout like a ladder with rungs of equal lengths. However during the twisting on the DNA helix, there are major grooves and minor grooves that form along the helix because of the nature of how the nitrogenous bases are attached to their respective strand. They do not project from their strands at 90 degrees.

Answer:

A. near-Earth objects.

Explanation:

Science can be defined as a branch of intellectual and practical study which systematically observe a body of fact in relation to the structure and behavior of non-living and living organisms (animals, plants and humans) in the natural world through experiments.

When scientists discuss objects that might hit Earth, the term which they use to describe them as a group is near-Earth objects.

A near-Earth objects can be defined as a small solar system body such as comets and asteroids whose orbit draws it close or in proximity to the earth's orbit due to the gravitational force of attraction of nearby planetary bodies.

Basically, if the closest approach of a planetary body to the Sun is less than 1.3 AU it is considered to be a near-Earth objects.

Hence, near-Earth objects may pose a collision danger to planet earth.
