Answer:

12.26 m, north-west

Explanation:

From the figure the displacement can be calculated by the Pythagorean law. In this the triangle ABC is the right angle triangle with hypotenous h, base 12 m, and height 2.5 m.

Therefore,

h^{2}=12^{2}+2.5^{2}\\ h=\sqrt{150.65} \\h=12.26m

Therefore the net displacement is 12.26 m and the displacement we know it is vector quantity and it is the shortest distance between the two points.

Therefore the displacement is from point B to A. Then the net displacement is the direction in the north-west direction with a magnitude of 12.26 m.

3m east and 15m west evens out to 12m west. That's one side of a triangle. The second side is 2.5m north.
The third side is your displacement,
use Pythagorean's Theorem to determine this.
a^2+b^2=c^2, that works out to 12^2+2.5^2=c^2.....144+6.25=c^2
150.25=c^2
and
finally
c=12.26,
or 12m

1) Arrange the following spectral regions in order of increasing energy: infrared, microwave, ultraviolet, visible.
Anton [14]

Answer:

The order of increasing energy is as follows

"microwave < infrared < visible < ultraviolet"

Option (A) is correct.

Explanation:

Given:

Arrange the following spectral regions in order of increasing energy: infrared, microwave, ultraviolet, visible.

From the formula of energy in terms of frequency.

 E = hf

Where h = planck constant, f = frequency of light.

From above formula we can conclude that higher frequency means higher energy.

In our case ultraviolet has higher frequency and microwave has lower frequency.

So ultraviolet has higher energy and microwave has lower energy.

microwave < infrared < visible < ultraviolet

Therefore, the order of increasing energy is as follows

"microwave < infrared < visible < ultraviolet"

Who represents the worst of the iron age in his attempt to feed jupiter once living flesh?
wolverine [178]

Lycaon represents the worst of the iron age in his attempt to feed jupiter once living flesh.

What is iron age?

The iron Age is the final epoch of the three-age division of the prehistory and protohistory of humanity.

It was preceded by the Stone Age, and the Bronze Age.

Who is lycaon?

In Greek mythology, Lycaon was a king of Arcadia who, in the most popular version of the myth, tested Zeus' omniscience by serving him the roasted flesh of Lycaon's own son Nyctimus, in order to see whether Zeus was truly all-knowing.

Thus, Lycaon represents the worst of the iron age in his attempt to feed jupiter once living flesh.
