The justices each have their own opinions which is why there will be conflicting opinions and feelings on a case that they oversee. The power of judicial review limits laws the senate and congress can pass.

Identify three social problems, such as child labor or tenement housing, discussed in the lesson and research ways in which gove
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

Child Labor

Health Hazards

Tenement Housing

Explanation:

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

Children should not be doing the work of adults. They are still developing and could endure many injuries doing this work. Their work environments were hazardous and affected them.

How was the problem addressed during the Industrial Age?

It was addressed by the fair labor standards act which was successful in making child labor illegal.

Was the Social Problem addressed successfully? Be sure to support your opinion with evidence from the lesson or your research.

I believe that the social problem was addressed successfully because it completely stopped the issue. There were no more large-scale cases in which this continued legally in the U.S.

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

This was also a very important issue to address. Many people got sick and died due to the unsanitary environment they abided in. If this wasn’t addressed people would continue to get ill and die.

How was the problem addressed during the Industrial Age?

The cities eventually introduced filtration and chlorination systems to be able to improve the water quality and safety.

Was the Social Problem addressed successfully? Be sure to support your opinion with evidence from the lesson or your research.

I believe it was partially successful because the water was cleaner but still not very safe. Entering the 20th century many people did not have completely safe water.

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

This needed to be reformed because the people living in the tenement houses lived in very poor conditions. It was an unsanitary dangerous way of living. They did not have basic necessities and had to share the few they did have with many others.

How was the problem addressed during the Industrial Age?

The problem was not really addressed. More buildings were built for tenement housing because the owners noticed they would profit more by renting to more people in smaller spaces.

Was the Social Problem addressed successfully? Be sure to support your opinion with evidence from the lesson or your research.

I believe this social problem was addressed poorly because it wasn’t really addressed at all. As time went on, they were no longer as popular and were no longer in use. But that wasn’t due to any action taken to improve or change the housing.
