One prejudice regarding women is that they are naturally neater and more prone to cleaning and housekeeping. This isn’t true as women’s connection to the house is not in the biological nature, but in the way, a society shaped the women. Since women are the ones giving birth to the children, it is expected of them to be more in the house and therefore take care of the house. They are taught to be more observant and careful about housework. It does not mean they more care about cleaning and house jobs, just that they are culturally subordinated to that role.

One prejudice about a minority is that all Asians are nerdy and into the STEM field. We can see this prejudice often in media as Asian characters often have minor roles in science fields, and their characterizations are connected to this. This idea comes from the fact that Japan, South Korea, and China are developed countries with a strong technological industry. Yet, not everyone that comes from Asia is into these topics – some Asians are not even from these specific countries, some were born in different countries, some have been born in the US, etc. The fact where someone is from doesn’t have anything to do with their intelligence, interests, and skills. Asian people are not just nerdy, socially awkward people who care only about science.

2. Check the ethical issues to be solved in the problem.

The ethical issue is stealing which conflicts with a society's moral principles. But, the positive is giving to the poor which is good the source of the money is however illegal.

3. Take a closer look at those affected.

The robber, the bank, poor orphanage, the society as a whole would be affected by my decisions.

4. Identify all decisions that you could take, their consequences, and make a decision.

Any decision I take would affect the robber who might be jailed and the orphans could lose the money or the Bank would remain affected, some bankers might be affected depending on the law and how the crime happened, and I would lose my good ethical values and breach the law if I should remain silent.

I would report to the authorities this would be a good decision because:

i. The bank would be saved.

ii. It could increase greater ethical values in the society.

iii. That's the right thing to do because irrespective of the good motive of a crime that doesn't remove the crime committed.

iv. The poor orphanage could receive financial support from people in the society.

Explanation:

Ethical decision-making gives one the freedom of choosing the right ethical principles among several other ethical principles. The goal is to make one do the right thing, stand for the right thing regardless of the risk, and to be consistent in applying great moral values that are consistent with good citizenship.

Media networks often compete to be first. Insider information that results in the ability to present an article sooner than their competitors is a great incentive to cover topics of any niche. Accuracy is also key. If the insider information exposes accurate information, the media network is able to prepare their article without spending time checking facts.
