Here are some probability scenarios.

- Flipping a coin and seeing if it is heads or tails.

- Thinking to yourself:  "Is it going to rain or hail?"

- Spinning a spinner and seeing what color it lands on.

-  Probability in winning the lottery.

-  Having 5 pairs of black shoes and one pair of yellow shoes.

 The probability of picking the yellow shoe is 1/5.

There are lots of more examples out there!

What is the equation of the line connecting (1,5) and (4,14)?
german
To find the slope of the line:
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(14-5)/(4-1)=(9)/(3)=3

Only one of your 4 possible answers has 3 as a slope. However, plugging in each point into the y=mx+b equation, the y-intercept consistently comes out as 2..
y=mx+b
14=3(4)+b  b=2
5=3(1)+b    b=2
y=3x+2
If there is a consistent, positive slope (from your question, this does not seem to have a quadratic as an option), 3x+5 is not even a viable solution because x=1 when the y-value is 5 (and thus no other x value {0} could have a y-value of 5). It seems as though you have a typo on your hands. Hopefully this helps?

stiks02 [169]

Answer:

The enlarged height of the photo must be 682 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

A customer wants to enlarge the image by 22 times

Hence, the scale factor = +22

Now, the current height of the photo = 31 inches

Therefore, to find the enlarged height : we need to multiply the scale factor of the required image by the current height of the photo.

Hence, Enlarged Height = 22 × 31

                                         = 682 inches

So, The enlarged height of the photo must be 682 inches
