Answer:

Advances in assembly line mass production

Large-scale production reduces costs of automobiles

Growth in personal automobile ownership

Commuters face traffic congestion

Explanation:

After the First World War, the car became one of the main transport vehicles. Thanks to the introduction of conveyor production, car models available to people with average incomes occurred.

A revolution in the American automotive industry was made by T model of Henry Ford, who used the American standardization system on his conveyors. Thus the era of continuous production began. In 1908, Ford launched the Model T with a 20 horsepower engine. The demand for this model was so great that already in 1912 a new plant was built for its assembly in Michigan, exemplary for its time.

The conveyor method gave a giant acceleration to the production of cars - 1000 per day or more, and also led to a reduction in the production costs.

An individual car has become a more massive means of transportation than public transport. The car, in turn, caused a revolution in the road business, influenced urban planning principles, stimulated the growth of the metallurgical, glass, rubber, paint and varnish and oil industries, and a car service industry arose.

1. Describe the evacuation order that was given to the citizens and residents of Japanese ancestry living on Bainbridge Island.
tangare [24]
Those of Japanese heritage living on Bainbridge Island (in Seattle area) were given six days to pack their belongings and prepare to leave.  They would only be able to take with them what they could carry.  They also all had to register with the Justice Department, photos and fingerprints taken.  That part had been ordered already by President Roosevelt in January, 1942.  In February, 1942, FDR signed an executive order that allowed the Secretary of War to designate certain areas as military zones.  FDR's executive order set the stage for the relocation of Japanese-ancestry persons to internment camps.  Altogether about 13,000 persons from the state of Washington were sent to such internment camps.

In a paragraph of 3–5 sentences, summarize how Reagan changed the role of government and evaluate whether his policies benefited
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

(Im sorry it isnt 3-5 sentences! But just look over it and create a paragraph of your own with the information given.)

Nonetheless, Mr. Reagan's Presidency has altered the tone and texture of government by changing the focus of political debate from solving social problems to cutting budgets and restricting Federal activities. One important measure of his political effect is that mainstream Democrats have taken up his longstanding assault on Federal deficits. Another is that state and local politicians no longer look to Washington for new initiatives and funding.

In his inaugural address after taking the oath of office on January 20, Ronald Reagan called upon Americans to "begin an era of national renewal." In response to the serious problems facing the country, both foreign and domestic, he asserted his familiar campaign phrase: "Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem." He hoped that America "will again be the exemplar of freedom and a beacon of hope for those who do not have freedom."

Arguably the first conservative U.S. president in over 50 years, Reagan advanced domestic policies that featured a lessening of federal government responsibility in solving social problems, reducing restrictions on business, and implementing tax cuts. Internationally, Reagan demonstrated a fierce opposition to the spread of communism throughout the world and a strong distrust of the Soviet Union, which in 1983 he labeled an "evil empire." He championed a rearmed and strong military and was especially supportive of the MX missile system and the Strategic Defense Initiative ("Star Wars") program.
