Since he gets paid more for tutoring, he should work as many hrs tutoring as possible. He can only work at most 20 hrs. He has to work at least 3 hrs tutoring but no more then 8 hrs.....to maximize profit, he needs to work 8 hrs tutoring...leaving 12 hrs as a teachers aide. He should work 20 hrs to maximize his earnings.

maximum profit is : 8(10) + 12(7) = 80 + 84 = 164

Stacy placed an order for 4 2/5 sacks of brown lentils and 1 sack of green lentils. How much more brown lentils did Stacy order?
OlgaM077 [116]

Stacy ordered 3\frac{2}{5} more sacks of brown lentils.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Sack of brown lentils ordered = 4\frac{2}{5}=\frac{22}{5}

Sack of green lentils ordered = 1

Difference = Sacks of brown lentils - Sacks of green lentils

Difference = \frac{22}{5}-1

Difference = \frac{22-5}{5}

Difference = \frac{17}{5} = 3\frac{2}{5}

Stacy ordered 3\frac{2}{5} more sacks of brown lentils.
