F a baseball is projected upward from ground level with an initial velocity of 96 feet per second, then its height is a functio

height of the ball is given as a function of time

it is given by equation

h = -16t^2 + 96 t

here in order to find the maximum height we will use the concept of calculus where the maximum value of function will exist when its derivative becomes zero.

so here we can say

\frac{dh}{dt} = 0

-32 t + 96 = 0

t = 3 s

now we will put t = 3 in the given equation

h = -16*(3)^2 + 96*(3)

h = 144 ft

So the maximum height will be h = 144 ft.

A large truck is moving 22.0 m/s. If it’s momentum is 125,000 kg • m/s, what is the trucks mass
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

p = mv

m = p/v = 125000/22 = 5682 kg

Explanation:

Direct application of the momentum equation

p = mv

where,

p: momentum

m: mass

v: object velocity

steps:

-------

1) check for units consistency (  SI or Imperial)

2) separate the variable you are looking for.

3) DONE! :DD

A physics professor wants to perform a lecture demonstration of Young's double-slit experiment for her class using the 633-nm li
Alexeev081 [22]

Note: if the professor wants the distance between the m = 0 and m = 1 maxima to be 25 cm

Answer:

d = 1.0128×10⁻⁵m

Explanation:

given:

length L = 4.0m

maximum distance between m = 0 and m = 1 , y = 25cm = 0.25m

wavelength λ = 633nm = 633×10⁻⁹m

note:

dsinθ = mλ (constructive interference)

where d is slit seperation, θ is angle of seperation , m is order of interference , and λ is wavelength

for small angle

sinθ ≈ tanθ

d (\frac{y}{L})  = mλ

d (\frac{y}{L}) = (1)(633nm)

d(\frac{0.25}{4} ) = (1)(633nm)

d = 1.0128×10⁻⁵m

A larger truck takes more force to move<br><br> What law of motion is it?
Y_Kistochka [10]
Newton's Second Law would probably best describe this.
F = ma
Where F = force
m = mass
a = acceleration

The force required is dependant on the mass, and where the mass is greater, the force required will be greater.

What is required to specify the position of an object?(๑•ᴗ•๑)♡
Mkey [24]

Answer:

Explanation:

To describe the motion of any object, we must be able to describe its position x. It reflects it at any particular time. In other words, we need to specify its position relative to the conventional frame of reference.
