Answer:

If the cart is pushed with twice the net force while its mass increases by four, its acceleration would be half the other acceleration.

Explanation:

Newton's second law relates the force (F) applied to an object with its acceleration (a) in the next way:

a=\frac{F}{m} (1), with m the mass of the object (the cart in our case)

Note that the acceleration is directly proportional to the force applied and inversely proportional to the mass of the object, that means if we let m constant and increase the force the acceleration will increase too, and if we let F constant and increase m the acceleration will decrease, but if we increase the two quantities at the same time, we should analyze mathematically the situation to observe better the behavior of the acceleration. If F_{1}=2F and m_{1} = 4m the acceleration by Newton’s second law is now:

a_{1}=\frac{F_{1}}{m_{1}}=\frac{2F}{4m}=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{F}{m})=\frac{a}{2}

Note that a_{1} = \frac{a}{2} so the acceleration would be half the initial acceleration

How are lysosomes simular to vacuoles
rosijanka [135]
<span>Lysosomes and vacuoles have the same functions. Both are enclosed organelle compartments within a cell  and are recycling centers responsible for breaking down substances or complex molecules that goes into a cell. Both are sacs which contain digestive enzymes for breaking down foreign materials, food, and pathogens. Vacuoles are found in plant cells and lysosomes are in animal cells. Vacuoles play an important role in plant’s food production. It stores water and hydration of plants. </span>

speed_{avg} =  \frac{Σ\:distance}{ total\: time}

So, according to the question:

distance = 90 miles

time = 1h 45min + 15 min + 1h = 3h

Therefore:\\ speed_{avg} =  \frac{90}{3} mph \\  = \boxed {30 \: mph}

What is the magnitude and direction (right or left) of the
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer: 12 N to the right

Explanation:

If we calculate the net force acting on the box, we will have:

<u>In y-component:</u>

Fy_{net}=F_{n}+F_{g} (1)

Where F_{n}=12 N is the Normal force, directed upwards and F_{g}=-12 N is the weight of the box (gravity force), directed downwards.

Fy_{net}=12 N-12 N (2)

Fy_{net}=0 N (3) Hence the net force in the vertical component is zero

<u>In x-component:</u>

Fx_{net}=F_{left}+F_{right} (4)

Where F_{left}=-3 N and F_{right}= 15 N

Fx_{net}=-3 N + 15 N (5)

Fx_{net}=12 N (6) This is the net force in the horizontal component

Therefore, the total net force acting on the box is 12 N directed to the right
