we can simply just draw them, notice it is a vertical line

For this case we have that by definition, the midpoint is given by:

(\frac{x_ {1} + x_ {2}} {2}, \frac {y_ {1} + y_ {2}} {2})

We have the following extreme points of a line:

(x_ {1}, y_ {1}) :( 0,0)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}) :( 0, -12)

Substituting in the formula we have:

(\frac{0 + 0}{2}, \frac {0-12} {2})\\(\frac {0} {2},\frac {-12} {2})\\(0, -6)

We have that the midpoint is (0, -6)

Answer:

(0, -6)

The alphabet game costs $.25 to play. Before the game, 26 slips of paper with a different letter of the alphabet on it are put i
iragen [17]

Answer: 25/676

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of possible outcomes = 26

In other to win, one must draw must be either (A, E, I, O or U)

Therefore required drws to win = 5

First draw:

P(win) = Total required outcome / Total possible outcome

P(win) = 5/26

Second draw:

P(win) = Total required outcome / Total possible outcome

P(win) = 5/26

Therefore,

P(winning twice) = (5/26) × (5/26) = 25/676

For the first one use the slope formula: m= \frac{ y_{2}- y_{1}  }{ x_{2}- x_{1}  }
So for you that would look like this: m= \frac{-4+1}{-2-7}= \frac{-3}{-9}= \frac{1}{3}
For number 2, in order for a slope to be 0, it has to be a completely horizontal line with no steepness whatsoever.  That can ONLY happen with lines that are "y=some constant with no x".  So that answer has to be y = -5. For that last one, we have to use the slope-intercept form of a line and use the point they give us along with the slope to find the y-intercept, or the "b". That looks like this for us: \frac{5}{6}=1(0)+b so b= 5/6. So our equation, fitting the slope and y intercept back in, gives us y=x+ \frac{5}{6}
