Dipsticks are dipped in the urine and left for specified time before comparing the color change to standard charts.The ten constituents tested in dipstick method are: pH, Protein, Glucose (sugar), Ketones, Blood, Bilirubin, Specific gravity, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, and Leukocytes.
