in a particular family one parent has type A blood the other has Type B they have four children what has type a wind site B what
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

Parental genotypes : AO & BO

Children genotypes : AB, AO, BO and OO

Explanation:

Blood groups in humans is a result of multiple allelism i.e. more than two types of alleles are present in the population which are responsible for existence of various blood groups in human population. It is known as ABO blood group system where A and B alleles are co-dominant while O allele is recessive to both i.e. it won't express in the presence of A or B or both of them. By co-dominant we mean to say that if both A and B alleles are present, they both will express.

The parents have A and B type blood while the children have all four types of blood groups. It is possible only when parents are heterozygous in their genotypes.

The cross depicting the genotypes of children is attached.

It is clear that children will have A, B , AB and O type of blood.
