So you're finding the hypotenuse? If so use pythagorean theorem. a^(2)+b^(2)=c^(2)
so 8^2 + 6^2 = 100 then square root of 100 is 10 which is the answer. if you're finding a leg then do c^2-a^2=b^2   (a and b can be switched out for each other)
