Which of the following shows the correct order from most simple to most complex: atom, molecule, organelle, macromolecule molecu
postnew [5]

Answer:

Atom, molecule, macromolecule, cell, tissue, organ.

Explanation:

Atoms are the smallest portion of matter with chemical properties. They can make bonds with other atoms of the same or other elements to form molecules. Macromolecules are big molecules, also called polymers, formed by the union of many smaller molecules, called monomers. These macromolecules can be polysaccharides, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates or nucleic acids, among others. I mentioned those particularly because they are the major categories present in cells. For example, membranes are formed by lipids, enzymes are a special kind of protein, and in the nucleus we can find nucleic acids storing genetic information. In pluricellular organisms, cells gather together and specialize forming different kind of tissues, depending on the organism. This cellular associations have special functions and form what we know as organs, which might be formed by one or many tipes of tissues. For example, in the human body, skin is mainly formed by epithelial tissue, muscles by muscular tissue and internal organs such as the stomach, endothelial tissue.
