A relevant strategy for managing losses—Loss-based Selection—has been discussed. Loss-based Selection shows a restructuring of a person's goal system, for instance, by releasing goals that cannot be achieved and improving new ones. Improving new goals and endowing in their optimization can consume resources. Besides, essential personal goals may be important for one's well-being and are not easily deserted in the face of loss.
