The answer:
When the volume of a gas is changed from 3.6 L to 15.5 L, the temperature will change from ?? oC to 87°C

application of charles law

charle's law tells that

T1/ V1 = T2 / V2, T must be in kelvin

it is given that  V1 = 3.6 L, V2 = 15.5 L,
T2= 87°C= 360.15 K

so to find T1,  T1 =(T2 / V2) x V1

T1= (360.15 / 15.5) * 3.6= 83.64° K = - 190.15° C

Answer : The volume of SO_2 gas is, 2.75\times 10^6mL

Explanation : Given,

Mass of S = 4.10 kg = 4100 g      (1 kg = 1000 g)

Molar mass of S = 32 g/mol

First we have to calculate the moles of S.

\text{Moles of }S=\frac{\text{Given mass }S}{\text{Molar mass }S}=\frac{4100g}{32g/mol}=128.125mol

Now we have to calculate the moles of SO_2

The balanced chemical reaction is:

S(s)+O_2(g)\rightarrow SO_2(g)

From the balanced reaction, we conclude that

As, 1 mole of S react to give 1 mole of SO_2

So, 128.125 mole of S react to give 128.125 mole of SO_2

Now we have to calculate the volume of SO_2 by using ideal gas equation.

PV=nRT

where,

P = Pressure of SO_2 gas = 1.16 atm

V = Volume of SO_2 gas = ?

n = number of moles SO_2 = 128.125 mole

R = Gas constant = 0.0821L.atm/mol.K

T = Temperature of SO_2 gas = 30^oC=273+30=303K

Putting values in above equation, we get:

1.16atm\times V=128.125mole\times (0.0821L.atm/mol.K)\times 303K

V=2747.65L=2.75\times 10^6mL     (1 L = 1000 mL)

Therefore, the volume of SO_2 gas is, 2.75\times 10^6mL

Arrange the events in the life of a star in the correct order.
tatiyna

Answer:

1. The temperature increases in the center of a nebula, and nuclei begin to fuse.

2. As the nuclear fusion sets off a chain reaction, the nebula gets hotter and brighter and turns into a star.

3. The star stays in the main sequence stage for a long time.

4. The star runs out of hydrogen and turns into a planetary nebula or a supernova, depending on its mass.

5. Heavy elements are created when the supernova explodes.

6. All that remains of the star now is the core. In some cases, the star turns into a black hole.

In water, oxygen shares a bond with two hydrogen atoms. oxygen is more ____________ than hydrogen, making the bond ____________
arlik [135]
Oxygen is more ELECTRONEGATIVE than Hydrogen, which means that the electrons in the atom are coaxed more toward the Central Oxygen atom. Because of this, the charge is not evenly distributed among the molecule, causing it to have positive and negative sides. This is what we call a POLAR molecule.

The strength of an acid is affected by the polarity of the bond connected to the acidic hydrogen. The more highly polarized this
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

Explanation:

Oxyacids are acid containing oxygen; they are also known as acid-alcohol or acid-phenol. As said earlier, the strength of these acids increases with increases in the polarity of these compounds. So, what makes the polarity is as a result of the electronegative substituents attached to it. Halogen family possesses the highest electronegativity in the periodic table, and electronegativity decreases down the group.

The ranking of the oxyacids in order of decreasing acid strength from strongest to weakest acid is:

HClO3 > . HClO2 > HClO > HBrO
