Answer: Option (C) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Whenever heat is lost in a chemical reaction or by a substance then the value of \Delta H will be negative.

And, when heat is absorbed in a chemical reaction or by a substance then the value of \Delta H will be positive.

As change in temperature is calculated as follows.

              \Delta T = Final temperature - Initial temperature

So, when the value of initial temperature is raised and value of final temperature is lowered then the final change in temperature will come out to be negative.

This will show that heat lost by the piece would be higher.

Therefore, we can conclude that heat lost by the piece would be higher if  the initial temperature is raised and the final temperature is lowered by 10^{o}C.

Determine the rate of a reaction that follows the rate law rate = k a m b i where
ikadub [295]
(missing part of your question):
when we have K = 1 x 10^-2 and [A] = 2 M & [B] = 3M & m= 2 & i = 1
So when the rate = K[A]^m [B]^i
and when we have m + i = 3 so the order of this reaction is 3 So the unit of K is L^2.mol^-2S^-1
So by substitution:
∴ the rate = (1x 10 ^-2 L^-2.mol^-2S^-1)*(2 mol.L^-1)^2*(3mol.L^-1)
                 = 0.12 mol.L^-1.S^-1

How does an atom become a positively charged ion
sladkih [1.3K]
When, it donates electons.

as for example take
NaCl ( sodium chloride)

it's an ionic compund,
that means it is formed by donating or gaining electrons

Na is writen first than, it must be electropositive i.e it has donated electons which made it positive and the clorine gains electron so it's electronegative.

Na is positive because
as we know it's atomic number is 11 that means it has 11 protons and 11 electrons
now, when it donate electon it has, greater number of protons whose change is +ve so the atom becomes overall positively charged ion or cation.

and something same happens in clorine and because it gains one electron and the number of electrons increase in it by 1 whise charge is -ve so, the atom becomes negatively charged ion or anion which has a -1 charge.
