The sentence that best explains how the painting reflects the changes in England in the 1800s is:

C. It suggests that as the economy industrialized, the work and home environment of laborers worsened.

The picture shows some houses with many industries behind. The air is dark due to pollution which greatly affects the quality of life. Also, the picture shows that there is a great deal of disorder on the streets, which suggests that the environment had worsened. Finally, one can observe the metal extraction furnace (the fire) and the smog that it causes.

Although in the long term the industrial revolution did improve the quality of life, at the beginning people's environment and quality of life was worsened. The industrial revolution, is known for: using child labor, increasingly contaminating cities, and the unhealthy living conditions of the workers.

What caused the Western Roman Empire to fall? There was no single cause, and no sudden fall. Rome’s decline took place over many
Aleksandr-060686 [28]
Making Christianity as the main religion of Rome was one of the factors that led to the downfall of the empire. The emperor was regarded as one of the gods before Christianity came then the aftermath of the change of religion made the emperor not credible to his own people. Rome was also headed by incompetent leaders both in the military and government. Then the divided empire was overthrown by barbaric tribes.
