Answer:

One of the most important decisions that came out of the Dred Scott decision was the court's decision to legalize dredlocks. Dreadlocks are a style of hair worn by Africans and Africans-Americans and was outlawed in public places until the Dred Scott case. Now, anyone can wear dredlocks in public.

Another important decision from this decision was that the court decided that not everyone who looked Caucasian could be proven to be Caucasian. Mr. Scott was 1/8 Negro even though he looked white. How the court was able to prove this without the availabilty of DNA tests, I will never know. It was important to be 100% Caucasian in order to ride a train, own a horse, or vote after the Dred Scott decision settled the issue of supremacy once and for all.

After looking up a friend's new number in the phone book, Franklin discovers that the pay phone is being monopolized by someone.
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

20 seconds

Explanation:

20 seconds is the period it would take Franklin to forget the numbers completely as it wasn't rehearsed. Usually the information stored in short-term memory should be stored for approximately 20 to 30 seconds, but it can be just seconds if rehearsal or active maintenance of the information is prevented such as the case of Franklin above.

Dima020 [189]

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is

"If an elderly customer of a RR develops dementia so that he can no longer handle his own affairs and the RR becomes aware of the customer's situation, the RR can only take orders for trades in the customer's account from third party who:

[A] Has a power of attorney  [B] Is a court appointed guardian or conservator of the customer's property  [C] Has a signed letter from the customer authorizing a third party to act for him  [D] Is a close relative of the customer"

Answer:

[B] Is a court appointed guardian or conservator of the customer's property

Explanation:

A professional who takes care of a client with dementia must be very careful with people who can take advantage of the client, whether in a social, physical, emotional or economical way. This is because, as the client has a reduced mental capacity, this client is unable to defend himself from possible profiteers.

Accordingly, it is important to note that this professional can only receive requests for transactions in the client's account from third parties who have been appointed by a court (and can confirm this) as a custodian or conservator of the client's property.
