You can subtract the 2x to make it -y=-2x-2 and add the x to make it -2y=x+4. for elimination method multiply the equation (-2)-y=-2x-2. Hope this helps. You can also do substitution method

Brett is performing a hypothesis test in which the population mean is 310 and the standard deviation is 20. his sample data has
vova2212 [387]

The z-statistic for Brett's data is found to be as given by: Option A: -5.30 (approx).

<h3>How to find the value of z-statistic for population mean?</h3>

Suppose we're specified that:

  • The sample mean = \overline{x}
  • The population mean = \mu
  • The population standard deviation = \sigma
  • The sample size = n

Then the z-statistic for this data is found as:

Z = \dfrac{\overline{x} - \mu}{\sigma/\sqrt{n}}

For this case, we've got:

  • The sample mean = \overline{x} = 295
  • The population mean = \mu = 310
  • The population standard deviation = \sigma = 20
  • The sample size = n = 50

Thus, we get:

Z = \dfrac{\overline{x} - \mu}{\sigma/\sqrt{n}} = \dfrac{295 - 310}{20/\sqrt{50}} \approx -5.30

Thus, the z-statistic for Brett's data is found to be as given by: Option A: -5.30 (approx).

The prism is completely filled with 1750 cubes that have edge length of 1/5 ft. What is the volume of the prism? Enter your answ
IgorC [24]

Answer:

14 ft³

Step-by-step explanation:

First, find the volume of a single cube: V = s³, where s = side length

V = s³; s = 1/5

V = (1/5)³

V = 0.008 ft³

**Note: (1/5)³ is equal to 1/125 as a fraction. I put it down in decimal form because it's easier for me to work with decimals.**

Now, to find the volume of the prism (which is <u><em>completely</em></u> filled with cubes), multiply the volume of one cube by the total number of cubes: 1750.

(1750)(0.008)

14 ft³

The volume of the prism is 14 ft³.

Hope this helps!

I'm in algebra please help and explain with work
lidiya [134]
2x+4y=0
3x+y=10
So what we want to do is get y onto one side by itself using whatever equation you like.
So I'm taking 2x+4y=0 and subtracting 4y from both sides
So we end up with
2x=4y
Divide both sides by four
2/4x is 1/2 x
So we get 1/2x=y
Take this and plug it into the other equation
3x+y=10
3x+1/2x=10
Add your like terms
3 1/2x=10
Putting 3 1/2 as a mixed number we get 7/2
So..
7/2x=10
Multiply by the opposite of 7/2 on both sides
Which is 2/7 this will cancel out the left side.
So we end up with
X= 10•2/7
X=20/7
Which is 2 and 6/7 as a mixed number.

In the circle below, chord AB passes through the center of circle 0. If the radius OC is perpendicular to chord AB and has lengt
Airida [17]

Answer:

Option (C)

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given circle, AB is a chord passing through the center O.

Therefore,chord AB is a diameter of the circle and OC is the radius.

AO = OB = OC

OC⊥AB, and length of OC = 7 cm

By applying Pythagoras theorem in right ΔBOC,

BC² = OC² + OB²

BC = \sqrt{OC^{2}+OB^{2}}

     = \sqrt{7^2+7^2}

     = 7\sqrt{2}

     ≈ 9.9 units

Therefore, Option (C) will be the answer.
