Carolyn wanted to determine her body temperature. So she wishes to collect her temperature body samples by dividing her day into three parts that is morning, afternoon and evening. She then measures her body temperature at 44 randomly selected times during each part of the day. She uses the method of sampling known as Stratified Sampling method.
Stratified Sampling method is used in Statistics world to collect samples which is partitioned into smaller sub parts. These small parts are known as strata.
Another name of Stratified Sampling is quota sampling or proportional sampling
