During which of these writing procedures is a Five Senses Chart usually helpful?

English

All of the information people gain daily is acquired through our senses.

Our senses are how we gather information and knowledge. The senses usually work together to give us a clear picture of the things around us. Our senses allow us to learn and enjoy our world.

Since reason uses the external senses in order to judge and understand the information acquired, Five Senses Charts are helpful because: data becomes easier to read, facilitate keeping track of everything you do and because are easy to use when organizing details in a mind map, which can further help in making sure we've included and connected all the right pieces.

When it comes to the writing procedures, the Step One is: Gathering Information; here the writer will investigate and take lots of notes, and then sit down with the information and sort it out; to get a clear understanding in as much detail as possible. From there, cut down the information so it can be easily transmitted to the readers.

Therefore, is during this writing procedure (<em>Step One: Gathering Information</em>) that a Five Senses Chart usually helps the most.

Burka [1]

The persuasive techniques that must take into account the author's objective and audience are the rhetorical resources ethos, pathos, and logos.

<h3>What are ethos, pathos, and logos?</h3>
  • They are rhetorical resources.
  • They are powerful persuasive elements.
  • The ethos is persuasive through ethics.
  • Pathos is persuasive through sentimentalism.
  • Logos is persuasive through logic.

The elements used by pathos, logos, and ethos must be aligned with the author's objectives, so that the author can manipulate the words used and the persuasive sentences according to these elements, proving a specific response from the public.

These rhetorical resources must also be aligned with the nature of the audience, as a more emotional audience may not be affected by a discourse based on ethos or logos, for example.
