Write and solve an equation to find your final score. Use x to represent your final score.
attashe74 [19]
Let your final bowling score be x. It is 14 pins less than your friends final score. Your friends final bowling score is 105. Then x is 14 pins less than 105.
1 way: This means that 105 is greater than x by 14. Mathematically,
105-x=14,
-x=14-105,
-x=-91,
x=91.
2 way: When you add 14 to x, you'll get 105.
x+14=105,
x=105-14,
x=91.
Answer: Your final score is 91.

Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

B) x^2 - 3/ 3x

Step-by-step explanation:

As, f(x) - g(x) = x/3 - 1/x

So, x^2/ 3x - 3/ 3x

= x^2 - 3/ 3x

Use the following explicit function to identify f(1) & r, and list the first five terms of the sequence.
rjkz [21]

Given:

The explicit function is:

f(n)=1000\left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{n-1}

To find:

f(1)=?,r=? and first 5 terms.

Solution:

The explicit formula a geometric sequence is:

f(n)=ar^{n-1}            ...(i)

Where, a is the first term and r is the common ratio.

We have,

f(n)=1000\left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{n-1}         ...(ii)

On comparing (i) and (ii), we get

a=1000

f(1)=1000

And,

r=\dfrac{1}{4}

For n=1,

f(1)=1000\left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{1-1}

f(1)=1000\left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{0}

f(1)=1000(1)

f(1)=1000

For n=2,

f(2)=1000\left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{2-1}

f(2)=1000\left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{1}

f(2)=1000\times \dfrac{1}{4}

f(2)=250

Similarly, substituting n=3,4,5, we get

f(3)=62.5

f(4)=15.625

f(5)=3.90625

Therefore, f(1)=1000,r=\dfrac{1}{4} and the first five terms are 1000,250,62.5,15.625,3.90625.

10.75 convert into fraction
sdas [7]
You should know that 10.75 is equal to 1075/100 so now you can simplify it and you will have:
1075/100 = 215/20 = 43/4 and that is the simplest form :)))
I hope this is helpful
